20 Years of Impact

On Thursday 29th September, we gathered in celebration of MicroLoan Foundation’s 20 Years of Impact.

Medha Wilson and Jack Ngoma led the presentation on where we began, and all that we have achieved together since 2002. We also launched our 20 Years of Impact video, which summarises our journey over the last 20 years.

We heard from our Founder Peter Ryan, who spoke about his inspiration and motivations. With contributions from Chairman Dr Mick Jackson and Trustee Bernice Dunsmuir, we were joined by our most valued donors and supporters who have facilitated our impact to date.

Thanks to those who attended yesterday evening, and to those of you who have supported MicroLoan over the past 20 years. Thanks also to our dedicated team worldwide whose commitment to our mission knows no bounds.

Above all else, thank you to the women in MicroLoan’s network. Our reach and impact has all been possible thanks to your resilience, determination, and a work ethic we can only hope to replicate. Women like Mrs Mkonde.

MicroLoan Foundation began with one Loan Officer, who provided a cash loan and training to one woman in Malawi. Since then, we have supported 324,000 women to build businesses, and provide for their families across Malawi, Zambia and Zimbabwe.

With special thanks to the Linklaters team in London for facilitating such a fantastic event.
