MicroLoan launches Soleful Steps campaign with Kari C.

We are very excited to announce that MicroLoan Foundation has partnered with Kari C. to launch Soleful Steps, a campaign sharing in our mission to empower women through entrepreneurship.

Luxury fashion brand Kari C. will offer a limited collection of shoes and accessories to support our female entrepreneurs in Africa. Kari C. has pledged 100% of the profits to MicroLoan to support women living in rural Zambia, Malawi and Zimbabwe establish themselves as entrepreneurs.

For every pair of shoes sold, we will be able to provide another woman with a loan to set up her own small business and start working her way out of poverty.

Soleful Steps aims to help 200 women set up businesses to change their families’ future. In turn, 800 children would have increased access to nutrition, education and healthcare.

Our CEO Peter Ryan said:

“MicroLoan Foundation is proud to be working with Kari C, a female entrepreneur who will support us in our work to economically empower some of the poorest women of the world.
The campaign, Soleful Steps, offers an exciting opportunity for MicroLoan Foundation to reach more women, providing them with the resources and skills to set up businesses that will change their families’ futures. We are very grateful to Kari for sharing our vision and supporting us to realise this.”
