On 4th September, 6 very brave women took on one of the biggest challenges in the UK… to conquer Snowdonia’s most impressive peaks.
This group of professional women left their make-up and home comforts behind, and set off for a gruelling 3-day trek through Snowdonia’s skyline. The challenge had it’s ups and downs (no pun intended!), with the women walking for up to 8 hours a day.
This year, the 6 women raised over £3,600 for MicroLoan Foundation – an incredible amount! For a personal insight into this challenge, Rebecca Jones (one of the participants) has written a fantastic blog, here.
This money will go towards providing loans and business training to women in Malawi and Zambia, offering them hope, and a more prosperous future.
All of us at MicroLoan Foundation are hugely appreciative to the ladies who took in part this challenge, and particularly to Delyth Kendrick, who has put this fantastic event on for us for the past 2 years.
So to Delyth, Rebecca, Kirsten, Helen, Joanna and Agnieska, thank you so much!
And for anyone who is interested in taking on a challenge, we have plenty of options available, so do get in touch with Alice from the Fundraising team on [email protected] / 020 8827 1691.
