Women of MicroLoan #4 – Agness Lunga

Agness runs a market stall selling new and colourful clothes. We helped her start her business 3 years ago to provide for her family’s needs.

Her profits are enabling her to pay school fees for four out of her six children as well as the two orphans she looks after. With another loan, Agness wants to change the type of clothes she sells; she would prefer to sell ‘vitenges’ (traditional wraps for women) and also employ someone to help her run the stall. With future profits she hopes she will be able to pay the school fees for all of her children and eventually build her family a new home.
